Our school mission is to guide students in achieving their highest intellectual, physical, social, and emotional potential by developing and implementing a curriculum and a value system that will yield productive members of society. To achieve our goal, we will work with students, parents and community to identify and accommodate individual differences and needs in order to develop life-long skills and to encourage confidence, self-expression, and personal growth.

Our Hightlights

  • Exceptional Test Scores
    The composite ACT score of the graduating class of 2008 was 25.6. This is the highest score that Homestead has achieved over the last five years. The state ACT composite average for 2008 was 22.3.
  • 2007-2008 AP Test Results
    282 students took a total of 542 tests. 88% of the grades were 3 or higher on the five point scale.
  • Our Graduates
    Over 90% of Homestead graduates attend 4-year colleges and universities or 2-year vocational/technical colleges.
  • Individualized Instruction
    An emphasis is placed on student performance and an instructional program that provides appropriate challenges for students of all levels of ability.
