The Mequon-Thiensville School District is an exemplary educational leader, consistently ranking among the finest public school districts in the state. The District serves approximately 3,500 students and their families.

Driven by the District’s mission and comprehensive strategic plan, the K-12 curriculum is aligned to prepare all students for college and career readiness. Nearly 90 percent of graduates enroll in post-secondary education immediately after high school.

At the elementary school level, the curriculum is rich in literacy, as the early years provide a foundation for learning that is critical for each student’s success in reading. We meet the reading needs of all students through high quality whole group and tailored small group instruction, as well as one-on-one support. Students in middle school embark on college preparatory curriculum and continue their education in robust learning communities where they are provided world-class learning opportunities that are both rigorous and relevant. At nationally recognized Homestead High School, students may choose from an extensive array of courses, including college credit-earning Advanced Placement courses and honors courses. Homestead focuses on preparing students for the opportunities and challenges of the future.

The Mequon-Thiensville School District provides a comprehensive educational program from kindergarten through 12th grade that goes beyond the classroom. Students are given the opportunity to examine and enrich the gifts they bring to the schools through the numerous extracurricular clubs and organizations, including courses in theatre, visual arts, band, orchestra and four vocal groups. In addition, Homestead High School is one of only a few high schools in the state that offers every Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) sanctioned sport to its students.

There is a place for every student and every family in the Mequon-Thiensville School District.
