HALL OF INSPIRATION ALUMNI AWARD

The Mequon-Thiensville School District Hall of Inspiration Alumni Award is designed to inspire new generations of district students to dedicate themselves to lives of accomplishment, service and good character. The award will recognize the accomplishments, service and character of outstanding alumni who have made special contributions in their chosen field of endeavor in a meaningful capacity. The Hall of Inspiration Alumni Award aims to celebrate the history of the school district and the lives of the past students who have established a foundation for post-secondary success that fuels the schools goals today. The purpose of The Hall of Inspiration Award is to recognize alumni and create a thoughtful platform for alumni to interact and engage with current students with the distinct goal of inspiring the next generation of leaders from MTSD.

The school district will recognize past graduates with achievements in areas such as: 

  • Business and academia
  • Performing arts, visual arts,and entertainment
  • Military,social service and philanthropy
  • Politics and law
  • Engineering, and technology
  • Medicine and education

Selection Process

The Hall of Inspiration is designed to “inspire new generations of Mequon-Thiensville School District students to dedicate themselves to lives of accomplishment and good character.”

The Hall recognizes the accomplishments and character of the most outstanding men and women who have attended school in any Mequon-Thiensville School District and its predecessor institutions, Homestead High School District (1958-1972),  Mequon-Thiensville Joint District #3 and #10 (Circa 1930-1972).

Selection Committee

The Mequon-Thiensville School District Hall of Inspiration Alumni Award selection committee is comprised of the following individuals:

  • MTSD Executive Director of Communications 
  • MTSD Superintendent of Schools
  • MTSD Board of Education President
  • Mequon-Thiensville Education Foundation President

CRITERIA

  1. Candidate must have attended and graduated from Homestead High School;
  2. Candidate must be at least 25 years of age;
  3. Candidate should have distinguished himself/herself with outstanding achievements in his/her career; 
  4. Candidate may not currently be campaigning for political office;
  5. Candidate must be of good character.
