Build Your Own Curriculum (BYOC): This curriculum information system is currently available to all community members. This allows parents and students to view course descriptions, units, and learning expectations easily on the web. BYOC also serves as a powerful collaboration tool for staff to use for multiple purposes.

Response to Intervention (RtI): MTSD has continued to implement best practices regarding RtI for all students including training of staff on Professional Learning Communities, high quality interventions and differentiation. The district is committed to being RtI compliant by 2013 in preparation for new state criteria.

NWEA MAPS: Students in grades 6-8 take three times a year MAP computerized adaptive assessments designed to provide feedback for their own goal setting and give teachers valuable information to inform and design high quality instruction in the classroom. In 2011-2012, MAP will expand for elementary students.
