The Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Department's purpose is to increase student achievement and meet the District's goals of academic growth, shared leadership, and a diverse student-centered climate based on common goals and values. The department facilitates the design and implementation of what is taught (the curriculum), how curriculum is taught (the instruction), and the evaluation of what is taught (the assessment). The department supports the District's comprehensive staff development program, teacher evaluation program, local and state assessment programs, and other initiatives related to school and District efforts in teaching and learning.
