we are not a peanut-free environment, but we take great precaution with students
who have allergies. If your child has specific allergies, please contact Pam Janotta,

bullet Is Breakfast available at my child’s school?
Breakfast is available at Homestead High School. It is served between 6:45am - 7:20am.
bullet How can I find out what my balance is in my child's account and his or her purchase history?
The easiest way is to create an account at www.MyNutrikids.com, there is NO charge to view your child's account activity. Instructions on setting up an account are available at www.mtsd.k12.wi.us, under Parent Resources Quick link, click on Food Service to find instructions on setting up an account. This site will even let you set low balance reminders that will generate an email to you when your child's account falls below your preset amount.
bullet How can I pay for my child’s lunch online?
Money can be added to your child’s account at any time by sending in an envelope with cash or check made payable to the school your child attends.

Remember, the envelope should be clearly marked with your child’s name, ID number and the amount of your deposit. If the payment is for more than one student, indicate how the money should be split on the check (for example, Johnny=$10.00 and Sally=$15.00).

Payment can also be made online at www.myNutriKids.com for a fee. More information is available at www.mtsd.k12.wi.us, under Parent Resources Quick Links, click on Food Service to find instructions on setting up an account.
bullet What happens if my child forgets his or her lunch?
If your son or daughter happens to forget their lunch from home and they are an elementary student, they may choose from the meal plan and you will subsequently be charged.

bullet My family qualified for free/reduced-priced meals last year. Do I need to do
anything for this school year?

Yes, unless you have received an eligibility notification letter for direct certification,
every year a new application needs to be completed. Students are grandfathered in
from last year for the first 30 calendar days of the school year 2011/2012. To avoid
disruption in your child’s status, a new application should be received in the district
office by September 01, 2011. An application can be found through the school district
website, www.mtsd.k12.wi.us under Parent Resources Quick Links, click on Food Service
to find the application. Subsequently, if your financial status changes during the
school year you may apply for free/reduced priced meals at anytime.
