Homestead High School offers both depth and breadth of study across curricular areas, providing ample opportunities for students to individualize their educational experience during their four-year experience.

Highlights of the curriculum include but are not limited to the following:

  • Fourteen Advanced Placement Courses
  • Four world languages (Spanish, French, German and Latin)
  • The Project Lead the Way pre-Engineering program
  • The Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) college readiness program
  • American Studies, an honors-level interdisciplinary course that interweaves the study of American history and literature
  • Multi-variable Calculus for students who complete AP Calculus B/C as juniors
  • Multiple offerings in drama, band, choir and orchestra
  • Multiple offerings in the visual arts
  • Technology-related courses including classes in multi-media and TV/video production
  • Technical coursework in autos and construction
  • Family and consumer coursework in areas including culinary arts and nursing assistant
  • Physical Education offerings that match students' interests and skill levels.

Course offerings are reviewed annually, allowing faculty members to review and revise our course choices on a regular basis.
