CURRICULUM HIGHLIGHTS
- The school is a comprehensive elementary school that offers art, music, physical education, guidance, and instructional media/technology education to all students.
- Mathematics:
- Everyday Math, a conceptually based spiraling curriculum, is taught Kindergarten through 4th grade.
- 5th grade uses a (6th grade) Math Thematics curriculum in order to challenge and prepare students for future math enrichment opportunities.
- The English Language Arts program is grounded in the philosophy of the Four Block Literacy Model.

- MTSD takes a unique and innovative approach to addressing the needs of gifted and talented students through a program known as Project Pursuit.
