Mequon-Thiensville School District


The Mequon-Thiensville School District Board of Education will begin holding hybrid meetings on June 21.

The Board’s first hybrid meeting will be held on June 21, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the Homestead High School Performing Arts Center (PAC) and on Zoom. The Board and district leadership team look forward to returning to a meeting format that allows both in-person and virtual engagement from community members. This format will allow those viewing the meeting remotely the same level of participation as those attending in-person. Allowing for equal access to the meeting by all participants, regardless of in-person or virtual attendance, is a priority for the Board and we look forward to ensuring all members of the public are able to participate in meetings in their preferred format.

For more information on accessing a meeting as a member of the public, please view the meeting agenda in BoardDocs and click on Public Access to the Meeting. Community members who wish to attend a board meeting are asked to fill out this Google form at least two hours prior to the posted start time. A passcode will then be provided, allowing access to the meeting online or by phone. Public Comment During Zoom Video Conference Meetings

Public participation in school board meetings is governed under Board Policy 9125.

The board recognizes the value of participation by the public in deliberations and decisions on school district matters. The public is welcome to participate under guidelines designed to enable the board to conduct the business before it, and to complete the planned agenda.

During regular or special business meetings, a member of the public may provide comment under the agenda item Citizen Communication and Comments, or after a Discussion Item is presented to the board.

The information below pertains to typical procedures when we are not in the midst of a pandemic.

Regular Business Meetings

The board holds a regular business meeting at least once each month on a date and at a time and place determined annually. In general, the board of education holds its regular business meetings on the third Monday of each month. Meetings are typically held in the Range Line Conference Room and begin at 7 p.m. Please check the posted meeting schedule to verify time and location.

Working Meetings

The board also holds working meetings to study topics in greater depth. No formal action is taken during work sessions of the board. Working meetings are generally held on the first Monday of each month and begin at 6 p.m. Working meetings are also typically held in the Range Line Conference Room. Additional Special Business or Closed Session meetings are scheduled as needed.
