On July 28, MTSD shared an overview of our plans for the 2020-2021 school year with families, as well as a parent survey to gather feedback. Our plans for a responsible return to school for the 2020-21 academic year include:

  • A return to On Campus Instruction five days per week with practical measures in place to mitigate the spread of disease

  • Flexibility in family choice by making the option for Distance Learning available

Please check your email for an overview of the practical measures being implemented, and for an opportunity to give us your feedback. This information is also available on our website at: https://www.mtsd.k12.wi.us/district/2020-21-school-year

In our next steps, we will share a comprehensive operational plan with families during the first week of August. In early August we will also ask families to indicate their preference for on-campus learning or distance learning so that we can staff and allocate resources appropriately for our return to school.

This is a fluid and changeable situation. It is possible that our plans will be modified leading up to the start of the school year or once school begins due to changing circumstances. Please know that we are committed to open communication, listening to our families and staff members, and responding to concerns as best we can.
