School Growth
The purpose of a school growth process is to unify a school's efforts toward continuous improvement and student growth. The school growth process follows five steps, which include isolating growth opportunities, creating goals, selecting strategies, developing action plans, and analyzing and refocusing.
By creating a school growth plan, we seek to avoid the pitfalls that can occur as a result of our overall high rates of student achievement. These pitfalls can include the failure to meet the needs of all students, falling short in setting specific and measurable goals, and demonstrating a lack of focus on continuous improvement.
The Donges Bay School Growth Plan (2018-20) focuses on essential areas of reading, mathematics, and social and emotional wellbeing. Our plan includes three goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, results-oriented and time sensitive. Baseline and current data, action steps, funding, timeline, responsible persons, and the measures for each action step are a part of our school's plan. Following is an overview of our school's growth plan goal statements.
