Here is what you need to do to be ready for the new school year:

1) Annual Online Registration

Beginning June 1st, all families must complete the annual online registration for the upcoming school year. Parents and guardians can complete online registration in their Infinite Campus parent portal. Please complete online registration by August 1st.

2) Pay Student Fees

Student fees will be accessible beginning on August 1 and may be paid online in their Infinite Campus parent portal. Please pay student fees on or before September 1st. To access student fees, login to your portal account and select Fees in the left side navigation.

3) Review Back to School Information

Below, you will find all the back to school information you will need before school starts on September 3rd. If you have any questions, please see the "Frequently Asked Questions" tabs below.

Back to School Information

New Student Orientation

Students new to Homestead High School are invited for an orientation session on August 13. This is a student only event.

Freshman Orientation: 8:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

New Students Grades 10th - 12th: 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Students should get dropped off at the Highlander Walkway and enter through the FieldHouse Lobby Doors. They do not need to bring anything. Students should get picked up at the Highlander Walkway at the conclusion of the event.

School Pictures and ID Cards

Homestead High school picture day/ID card photos will be held on August 16th from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the Homestead cafeteria.

Afterwards, you’ll receive an email when your images are ready to view online. Or, you can search for them at vipis.com shortly after photos are taken. You’ll be able to select your image for your yearbook (please remember to do so before it’s selected for you), and place your online order. All orders will be delivered to your home. Transportation and Busing

Our transportation partner, Go Riteway, prepares bus routes each year in consultation with the Mequon-Thiensville School District based on school start and end times and student population densities. You will be required to enter your child's transportation routing information during the online enrollment process.

Bus route information will be viewable on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal on August 28th. Route information will NOT be mailed home.
In order to finalize the routes, no transportation changes/requests will be processed between August 13th and September 13th. Any requests after August 13th will not be finalized until September 13th.

The Here Comes The Bus app allows your family to view the location of your child’s school bus on your smartphone, tablet or computer. Click here for more information. To sign up, please use school code is 29003.

Class Schedules

Friday, August 16th - Paper copies of schedules will be distributed to students who have completed the registration process, including paying all fees, during Picture Day. The School Counselors will be available for walk-up student appointments on that day between 8am and 2pm to resolve any errors in schedules.

Monday, August 19th - Class schedules will be available in the Infinite Campus parent portal and the Infinite Campus Student Portal

Health Care Plans and Medications

The district supports the health and wellness of all of our students. In helping to ensure that your child has access to the appropriate medical treatment during the school day, it is necessary that we have all relevant emergency and/or medication forms on file.

All medication (prescribed or OTC) that is administered to students or taken by a student while at school requires a permission form. All prescribed medications need a physician’s signature.

Free and Reduced Meal Application

The free and reduced meal application is available online beginning August 1. You may complete and submit the form online, or download a printable version to complete and submit. Copies of the application are also available in each school office and the district office. If you plan to submit a printed copy, please do so at the Mequon-Thiensville School District office, located at 5000 W. Mequon Road. The free and reduced meal application can be submitted anytime during the school year. How do I login to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal or reset my password?

Parents who are new to the district will receive an email with personalized Infinite Campus login and password details upon enrolling in the district.

If you have previously logged in to Infinite Campus but have forgotten your username and/or password, you can now change your login credentials by selecting the "Forgot Password?" or "Forgot Username?" links found on the portal login page.

You must be a resident within the Mequon - Thiensville District boundaries to enroll your child. If you live outside the area, please see information regarding applying for open enrollment. The open-enrollment application period begins in February and runs through the end of April.
