The Herb Kohl Educational Foundation has named Mary Jo Tye a 2018 Leadership Award winner. Tye is principal of Oriole Lane Elementary School in the Mequon-Thiensville School District, where she has served for the past 23 years.

First-grade students celebrated the end of their persuasive writing unit by reviewing restaurants, movies, toys, cities, vacations and more in a Yelp format. First-grade families were invited to the event.
