Summer is just around the corner, and we want to help your student keep up those excellent reading habits! To make things easier for you, I’ve put together a curated collection of summer reading activities, local programs, and fun incentives.

Here is a quick look at what you'll find in this year's Summer Reading Resource:

• School Fun: Beat the Principal Reading Challenge & Where is Sparty?
• Digital Access: Sora Resources
• Community Events: Weyenberg Library Summer Programs
• National Programs: Half-Price Books Reading Challenge, Barnes & Noble Summer Reading (1st-6th Grade), and Book It: Summer of Stories.

We hope these resources help engage your reader this summer! Copies of this Summer Reading Resource will be available within the ICC, office or ELA classes. If you have any questions, please reach out to Susan Dotzauer at sdotzauer@mtsd.k12.wi.us.

As we get closer to the end of the school year, it is time to get ready to return all Chromebook laptops and chargers. Verify that your student has both their charger and Chromebook on the following dates to return them for the school year.

• Monday, June 8th: 6th Grade
• Tuesday, June 9th: 8th Grade
• Wednesday, June 10th: 7th Grade

If your student has a repair loaner due to a prior issue, they should turn in their loaner device and charger. Any student that does not return their device and/or charger will be charged accordingly. Current replacement prices listed in MTSD Chromebook Handbook are:

• Chromebook $320-360
• Charger $25-30

Attention 8th Grade Families!

SAVE THE DATE: Wednesday, June 10th is 8th Grade Promotion!

• 10:30-11:45am - 8th Grade Awards Ceremony at Steffen (Parents/Guardians invited)
• 12:45pm - Early Release for 8th Grade students only
• 6:15 -7:15pm - Promotion Ceremony at HHS James Barr Performing Arts Center
• 7:30-9:30pm - Promotion Celebration at Steffen. Stay tuned for an email from the PTO next week Tuesday, for registration for the 8th grade promotion celebration! We will need all students to register in order to attend the celebration!
