Kids' Campus

Kids’ Campus is a Before and After School Program offered by the Mequon-Thiensville School District and Recreation Department. Kids’ Campus is available for children in 4K through 5th grade. Programs are conveniently located at Donges Bay, Oriole Lane and Wilson elementary schools to ensure a smooth transition between the school day and before and after school care.

Kids’ Campus balances fun and learning by providing children with an array of experiences, including a wide variety of supervised and age-appropriate activities designed to encourage imagination, spark academic interests and promote positive social skills. Kids' Campus benefits include:

Program Options & Schedule

Flexible program options allow families to select before school care, after school care, or both and in any combination of days from one to five days per week.

Please note: We do not provide full-day wraparound care for 4K.

Donges Bay

Elisa Salvo
Elisa Salvo - Donges Bay Site Supervisor
Elisa is from Thiensville and a mother of 4. She also works with one of our early childhood classes during the school day at Donges Bay. Elisa understands the importance and is dedicated to incorporating guidance, structure and kindness at our Donges Bay Kids' Campus site! She enjoys spending a lot of time outside with her children, staying active, and also reading and crafting.

Oriole Lane

Hailee O'Brien
Hailee O'Brien - Oriole Lane Site Supervisor
Hailee is a Thiensville native and is currently studying Education in hopes to become a teacher! Hailee is the oldest sibling of 5 in her family and has several years of experience in child care of all ages. She has also dedicated her time working with the Wisconsin Early Autism Project. She has been a great leader and role model for our Oriole Lane, Kids' Campers each day! Hailee enjoys yoga, art, reading, outdoor adventures and participating in creative games.

Wilson

Joelle Wiest
Joelle Wiest - Wilson Site Supervisor
Joelle comes to us from UWM where she is studying Early Childhood Education. Joelle has worked in child care for many years, worked with a variety of ages, and brings a lot of creativity and energy to our Wilson Kids' Campus program.
She is also a high school cheerleading coach for her hometown nearby! Joelle enjoys being outside, arts & crafts, music and movies.


FAQs

How do I register?

  1. You must register by mail or in person prior to enrolling in Kids’ Campus. There is a $25/per child annual registration fee (maximum $50 per family for those with multiple children). Please mail the registration form with your check to the Mequon-Thiensville Recreation Department, or register in person with cash, check, or credit card at the Rec Department office in Range Line Center between the hours of 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. You may not complete online enrollment until registration forms are completed and the registration fee has been submitted.
  2. Enroll in Kids’ Campus. Parents will be given access to complete an online monthly care schedule and submit payments safely on the M-T Rec Department website once registration forms and fees are completed and submitted as described above. Please Note: Participants must be registered seven days in advance of the first day care is required. (Example: If care is needed beginning Tuesday, September 3, registration must be submitted by Tuesday, August 27.)

Is care offered on days when school is not in session?

We are proud to offer full day care when school is out! These days will be filled with fun activities, games, sports, or crafts and even special themes or field trips.

Where: Donges Bay Elementary
When : 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
Cost: $40/day ($5.00 field trip fee on select days)

Students must be registered for the Kids' Campus program through the Recreation Department in order to participate in school's out days.

Note: If school is canceled due to inclement weather, we will be unable to provide care.

*When enrolling in 3+ Kids' Campus care dates, be sure to complete the full week, even with split months, to receive the discounted rate. For example: October 28 (M) - November 1 (F); March 30 (M)-April 3 (F); April 27 (M)-May 1 (F).
