Wellness Committee

Our health and wellness committee is an advisory group comprised of staff, administrators, students, parents and community specialists. The committee is guided by board policy 8510 and focuses on the topics of nutrition education, physical activity, social and emotional wellness, and other school-based activities with the ultimate goal to establish and review systems and provide students with the knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary to lead healthy lives.

We are seeking parent volunteers to serve on the health and wellness committee. The committee will meet five times during the 2018-19 school year on the following dates:

September 18, 7:30 a.m.

November 19, 4:30 p.m.

January 8, 7:30 a.m.

March 18, 4:30 p.m.

May 14, 7:30 a.m.

If you are a Mequon-Thiensville School District parent or guardian interested in being a part of this committee, please complete the volunteer form below by August 3, 2018.

To maintain effective group size, the number of participants will be limited. If we receive a number of responses, we will group volunteers by factors including student grade level and school of attendance, then randomly select participants from those groups in order to ensure a wide range of parent voices are represented.
