Mequon-Thiensville School District

VOICES is a collaborative group of MTSD parents and staff that provides support & information to our district families. Our focus encompasses not only special education students but all students (because all students face challenges at times). We hold lecture programs called "Parent Chats,” monthly meetings, and evening parent socials. We foster communication between MTSD staff & families. We share information about resources to help families and staff support students. Our name, VOICES, stands for Voices Offering Inspiration for all Children's Educational Support.

The Vision of VOICES is to raise awareness and acceptance of diverse educational needs of students in the Mequon-Thiensville School District, encourage a climate in our schools that will increase each child's opportunities to perform to his or her potential, and empower parents, teachers and staff to empower our children.

Monthly Meetings

Monthly meetings are held the second Monday of each month at noon in the Egelhoff Conference Room at the Mequon-Thiensville School District offices. These meetings are open to all district parents and staff. We share information about community resources, hear updates about the MTSD Special Education Department, and have open discussion about supporting students. We often have a discussion topic or a guest speaker about an aspect of Special Education. Meetings are open to all MTSD parents & staff.

Following is our 2017-18 meeting schedule. All meetings begin at noon and are held in the Egelhoff Conference Room at the district office. (District Campus Map)
