5-year-old Kindergarten

Children in MTSD's 5-year-old kindergarten program (5K) experience a high-quality early-learning program that enhances our young learners' early understanding of literacy, numeracy and social-emotional learning. Passionate and dedicated teachers nurture children's innate curiosity as they prepare students for a promising future.

MTSD's 5K is a full-day program; children must be at least five-years-old on or before September 1 of that school year in order to enroll.

Visit

We invite parents/guardians to schedule a visit in order to meet the principal, ask questions and see the 4K classroom in action. Please contact your home school directly to make an appointment with your school's principal.

Registration & Enrollment

Parents are asked to pre-register their child for 5K if the child will be new to MTSD on Thursday, February 21, 2019. Pre-registration is held in-person at Range Line conference Room, located at 11040 N. Range Line Road. It is open between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Pre-registration allows us to develop class rosters and determine staffing to meet projected enrollment. You must bring your child’s original birth certificate and proof of residency to pre-registration.

After the pre-registration date in February, parents can pre-register at the district office, 5000 W. Mequon Road, during business hours 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday. You must bring your child’s original birth certificate and proof of residency to pre-register.

Following pre-registration, parents will also be asked to enroll their child online (beginning in July) and attend in-person registration day (held in August). We will provide further information regarding these activities in advance.
