English Language Learners


The culturally and linguistically diverse student population of the Mequon-Thiensville School District brings over 25 different native languages into our classrooms. It is the fundamental philosophy of the school district to provide equal educational opportunities to all students. The goal of the English language learner program is to enable English language learners to become competent in the understanding, speaking, listening, reading and writing of the English language through the development of literacy and academic skills in grade level content areas.
