It is our goal at Wilson to help every student become a skilled reader who develops a life-long love of reading. Throughout the school year, we do everything possible to accomplish this goal by providing explicit instruction, high-interest reading materials, time to read, and time for students to talk about their reading with others.

We appreciate all you do to support your child’s reading at home. Research shows, however, that children can experience “summer reading loss” over the months when school is not in session.

As we get ready for the upcoming Fun Fair, we're excited to gather donations from Wilson families to help fill our raffle baskets. If your business in interested in contributing a gift certificate or any other items for the baskets, we'd greatly appreciated your support!!

Please note that anyone volunteering in the school (reading in classrooms), on field trips, etc. must complete a successful background check. It typically takes one week to get results, so we encourage anyone that may volunteer to complete it now.

Background checks are valid for 3 years.

If we do not have confirmation of a successful background check you will NOT be allowed to volunteer, regardless of the circumstances. The link can be found here.
