Kindergarten Programs

4-year-old Kindergarten

Children in the Mequon-Thiensville School District's 4-year-old kindergarten program participate in a quality early learning program that provides a solid foundation for lifelong learning. We offer a tuition-free, half-day kindergarten program for children who are age 4 by September 1 of the school year in which they will begin school. 4K is offered at each of our 3 elementary schools: Donges Bay, Oriole Lane, and Wilson elementary schools. We also partner with Range Line Preschool and Childcare for one morning section.

Classes run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-11:45 a.m. (morning session) or 1:15-4 p.m. (afternoon session).

Children in MTSD's kindergarten program experience a high-quality early-learning program that enhances our young learners' early understanding of literacy, numeracy and social-emotional learning. Kindergarten is a full-day program. Children must be at least 5-years-old on or before September 1 of that school year in order to enroll.
